Jimmy Shortell trumpet flugelhorn

Has played accordion and trumpet since the end of elementary school through the present. Three year Texas All-State Band '79 - '81.

Two years at Del Mar College studying trumpet with Dr. Ronald Henderson 81-83.

Relocated to Austin, Texas in 1983 to study trumpet with Raymond Crisara and resided here since.

Toured the country with Ruben Ramos from 1988-1995 and still play with him some and record.

Has been a freelance musician enjoying playing everything from a Presidential Inaugural Ball to beer joints and recording sessions and maintains a small teaching studio since 1995.

Jimmy has a beautiful family made up of his wife, Elaine and daughter, Megan Faith and son, Ethan James.
